The co-operation between Cantor Louis Garb and trumpet/composing
artist Salomon Helperin
is based on that fact that they want to have concerts in Synagogues.
A perfect opportunity
to have a concert like this, is directly
after the Havdala service. Of course the Havdala
can be hold
anywhere. But why not in the Synagogue? We can put together
the Havdala with
a moment of music worship to be a special time
to start the week.
Cantor Garb and Mr. Helperin met 10 years ago when Salomon
Helperins agent started
a publishing company in Jerusalem. 2005, Cantor Garb was the
soloist in Mr. Helperin
opus 73 ”Baruch”. The composition was
performed in the main event for
the celebration of Goteborgs
Synagogues 150 years anniversary.
Cantor Garb has done considerable concerts all over the world,
with just piano or other kind
of small ensembles. He has also performed with Israel Philarmonic
Orchestra among all.

In October 2008, the two musicians did some recording sessions
in Jerusalem.
They also determined different concert programs together.
Different kind of concerts:
1/ Havdala Concert. After Havdala/shabbes
2/ Ordinary Concert, any time before/after shabbes.
Cantor Garb and Mr Helperin also gives different kind of workshops
and masterclasses.
1/ ”The multitude of jewish sacral music” – Cantor Garb, workshop
2/ ”The music instruments during the tempel period” – Mr Helperin,
workshop
3/ ”Playing the shofar” – Mr Helperin, masterclass
4/ ”Composing jewish music of today” – Mr Helperin, workshop
5/ ”Trumpet and shofar playing" /old and new music in
contemporary period – Mr Helperin, workshop and masterclass
Besides of synagogues, we have concerts, workshops and masterclasses
in consert halls, universitys and other education institutions.
The concert program can be mixed in different modus. Yiddish
songs, different compositions with text from ”Songs of Songs”
and new compositions
by Mr Helperin. Of course, we also have
parts from the sefardic/ladino culture.
Sometimes, Cantor Garb can also take place as cantor or
help-cantor,
during the shabbes or jontef.
Together with the local jewish community, we work out a
special program that fits the community. We also like to
satify the olders, who are not able to visit shul. Together
with workshops and masterclasses, we want to give you a total
program between 2 to 4 days. ( We don't count shabbes as
a workingday )

One day – € 2 500
Two days – € 3 200
Three days – € 3 700
The price for travling and hotels is not include.
You get an invoice from our agent of our fee and cost.
For same arrangements, we may have our own sponsors to finance
the expensives.
